The year saw the introduction of many reforms and policies, some of which marked huge achievements in the history of the Indian system. Others suffered a bigger setback and became failure for the government.
From May 2014 to May 2015, the government under Narendra Modi modified many existing policies and programs and brought in many reforms. There were mixed reviews on the performance of the Modi-led government in India; some opined that it had helped generate positive vibes for the Indian market in the global arena while others viewed the government’s promises as just hype in the market, with no actual path breaking work being done. In the context of the promises made by Modi and his party during election campaigns in 2014, it looked as if the BJP led government was losing its sheen.
